Movie Marathon Day

I'm back! Finally! The last few weeks were chaotic - assignments final, video shooting and etc. For four weeks in a row, I wasn't able to visit the cinemas. (Maybe its normal for you but I usually go to the cinema once a week- at least.) Since all my assignments were submitted this week, I've decided to go to the cinema and watch all the movies that I wanted to.

The first movie that comes to my mind was The Inglorious Basterds. I'm sure all of you have had heard of it. Too bad the time slot wasn't suitable for our plan today, most probably due to the hours long of the movie and causes less showtimes, we changed our mind. There were only two more movies we were interested in - Jennifer's Body and The Time Traveler's Wife. (I'm not a big fan of Fox and Vamps and blood and... so we chose the latter one.)

I actually read the book before (to my very own surprise) so I somehow have an idea what the show was about. It's kinda disappointing when I actually watched the movie itself because most of the important details were not found on the show. A few changes were made to the storyline so that it can fit into a two hours long film. Perhaps this is the problem with adaption, not all the screenplay were written accordingly due to the time limit. Sigh. (That's why they came up with best adapted screenplay for the Academy Awards, those people should be awarded.)


I wouldn't say the show was bad because it's not - its just that the thing I love in the book wasn't seen anywhere in the movie. Sigh. But Rachel McAdams was as attractive as she is. Eric Bana was boring, quite hard to identify his age actually (we are supposed to be aware of that in the book.) Sigh.

The movie ran too fast - before I can put myself into the picture, they already getting married. Then fast forward to pregnancy and all.. everything happened too fast!! Slow down!! I wanna see more of Claire!!! Anyway, I do like the cinematography. Most shots were nice and brilliant..

If u have time, should read the book.. the movie, hmm, dvd maybe.. LOL

p.s: let's hope the next movie don't suck! (*fingercrossed "Inglorious Basterds"!*)

(500) Days of Summer

As my holiday is coming to an end, so I thought, I shall finish watching whatever movies I wanted to even though I am still going to watch movies in college time. Hence, there is this particular movie - (500) Days of Summer which I wanted to watch so badly since last month, starts screening limitedly today. Why the heck not watch it right?

It's a story of a boy and a girl, but not a love story. The title literally says everything because its about 500 different days about this girl who named Summer. Aww. Love the director Marc Webb (u might have seen his name in MTV or Channel V as he was the director for a few notable videos like PCD - Wait A Minute, Fergie - London Bridge, Daniel Powter - Free Loop, MCR - I Don't Love You (neh the black guy and white girl in mannequin 1) and many more)

The movie was very entertaining. To me its like watching an almost 2 hours long of music video. Short dialogues, cute scenes, and I love the settings. Its a present time set but the director managed to make everyone looks so 60s. Love IKEA. Love & hate Zooey Deschanel. Love Joseph Gordon-Levitt. If u have time there, go and watch it. Trust me, it worth the 6/7/8/9/10 bucks that you are paying for. Ha. (That's if its still screening la.)

Since I'm so sienz for these few days, I went to take the passport photos today. LOL. *Just so u know, I used to have this habit since form 2 - taking passport photos once a year or sth*

Kebenaran Yang Pahit

That's the subtitle for a movie I watched just now - The Ugly Truth.. hahahaha..

Such a funny movie, its like an one and a half hour of informal sex education with some funny facts tagged along. Not to mention I love watching love comedy. Ha. (It does worth the 10 bucks I paid.)

Today was fun. Outing for the almost 12 hours - breakfastbrunch, rock climbing, pizza, gossip, kumar, starbucks, movie.. Now I can add rock climbing into my lifetime achievement checklist. Pheww.. Haha.. How nice it would be if everyday can be stress free like now right? But let's be practical, its time to get to work again. Haha.. Back to work Minty!!

Mad

Right now, I am 20% upset and 80% angry. Upset due to the reason that I might not get to online for the coming few days and angry because my damn sister forgot to pay the net bills!! BITCH!! With raining like cats and dogs out there, I was desperately looking for a TM Point which hardly can be found anywhere. By the end of the day, not only I didn't get to clear the bills, I got myself wet and cold and stuck in the jam.

Here comes the part I am really dulan about. So as I was stuck in the jam, raining, cold, dizzy ... this stupid taxi from nowhere intended to cut my line. I don't mind giving in way but, that stupid taxi was trying to cut me from the very back and he was driving at the opposite lane! Cibai! Obviously I won't let him in because it was so so so wrong of him to drive at the opposite lane at the first place , not to mention I wanna see him get horned by the cars coming from the other way, and so I didnt leave any space for him to cut in. I am pretty sure the driver ain't chinese, let's name him Cowhead, sohai cowhead was so stubborn to cut in, and right after I passed through, he just drove in and was about to knock on a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist tried to avoid him and ended up knocked on my car.

As the rain was so heavy, I didn't get down of the car because I don't want to cause anymore traffics. So I gave the motorcyclist a sign telling him its ok. And on the other hand, a middle finger for Cibai Cowhead. Grrr... Really an asshole! He didn't even apologize to the motorcyclist! What if the motor tried to avoid him and get knock down and die on the spot?! Here's a little shout out to all the irresponsible taxi drivers out there, fuck yourself and your damn selfish attitude! U are not the only one who are rushing back to buka puasa home/work/find hookers idiot!! Just be patient and stick to the queue bitch! IF u planned to die, just jump from klcc and make us proud any building with 20 floors height at least. Shame on u as driver. Idiot! Son of a bitch!

Busy Month

I haven't been free for the last few weeks. Sigh. A quick update about what I was working on lately. Its a video assignment. Below are the few still frames for the video. In addition, I was also working on my final animation short, which I am very passionate and excited about, am gonna show the characters by next week (or so I hope).

Just A Thought

Many of you might think I have a wonderful life with lots of happiness happening around me but I can tell you're wrong. Behind every happy life there live a sad hidden story. For my case, my mum and me. I don't know what the fuck is wrong but whatever I do seems wrong to her. Its always the case. I failed her, I disappointed her, I messed up.
So today, a brightful day, just when I am about to go out and have fun, she called up and scolded me straight from the phone. It was my fault for giving email to the wrong distributor, but hey, no one on earth deserves to be scolded and humiliated that way, worse than a piece of shit.. whatever feelings I am having now, its fucked off!

I am now going to walk straight to d door and take a cab and leave. Off the phone temporary. I am pissed off too.

Lately I am quite hooked up with my studies and I just realized, reading is really important - even for ART STUDENTS. So today I went to Kinokuniya and look for Entertainment Weekly with Ryan Reynolds on the cover some books.
And then I found this very interesting comic graphic novel - Seaweed.

The second I saw the cover I knew I'm getting a copy of it. Soooooooooo cute~

And so I bought the book. The End.

It's 4 in the morning and I am still watching this japanese drama (thanks to KOKHONG and Joanne!) So irresistible.. the japanese series back then were really way better..

Popcorn Wednesday

Earlier on today I was supposed to have lunch with someone but something came up so I decided to ditch that someone and go for a movie instead. Therefore I called up Xiao Ba and just so happened she was free as she planned to P class today. Yaiy! Game on!

So we went for this movie Public Enemies. Its not those kinda movie where everyone will like it but I certainly do. Love the setting, the 30s, Johnny Depp and his humors, Marion Contillard's tinzanness... not so about Christian Bale, he is getting boring. Grr..


Conclusion for today is, life is short. Why waste time waiting instead.

Dead

This was originally a funny post about a girl who tried to commit suicide earlier this morning right in front of my mum shop. She intended to jump from the bridge and get knock by the LRT or maybe electric shock etc etc. She was caught later. We were laughing at the whole incident in the morning. BAK kata pepatah, you won't feel the pain until the needle cucuk your skin.

Soon after I finished my class today in the evening, I received a call from my sister, she told me "he" tried to commit suicide in his own room. Fortunately there were people on time and rescued him. So we decided to pay him a visit. By the time I reached his house, he locked himself in the room. We were knocking door, calling him but nothing was heard from the inside. My heart was pumping unusually faster. My past was haunting I guess. I'd been through this when I was younger but I never know this might happened again. So my fear got my nerves. I dared not to walk in the minute we had the key to unlock the door. I was afraid that history might repeat itself. "He" was lying on the bed by the time we were in. No lights, no fans, everything was off. For a second, I thought "he" was dead. Then we shouted at him and finally he responded. Freaked us hell out!

So the conclusion for today is:-
- don't get dumped and try to kill urself by jumping off the bridge on lrt. Its stupid
- don't pinjam ah long and try to kill urself just because you can't pay it back
- don't delay your homework! (this 1 xde kaitan abit. LOL)

P.S.: I think the genes really run in our family. So now it makes sense if anyone of you in the future receive a message saying I died of commit suicide. LOL

Today marks the last day of me sitting at home whole day long while watching the Ellen Show repeatedly with my hand holding curry puffs and cookies at the same time. Sigh. School starts tomorrow. Very gun jiong now.. wonder what people am I going to meet this time. A brief post about what happened on the last day of a lifeless holiday.

0830 - Woke up and brush my teeth. Sleep again... went to find my long lost grandparents to yumcha.
1050 - Got an emergency call to fill up a job - sell shirts in pasar. Involved Spotted a fight between 2 aunties for a damn dress.
1300 - Went to BB area for lunch with mum. Saw Peter Davis (again! I just met him yesterday!) Mum was drooling all the way starring at him reading newspaper at MyNews.com
1445 - Saw a nice hood in ZARA! Definitely a must have!
1530 - Fetched Aunt Ha to my house. She is going to be my "Goon Ga Po" for the following weeks when my mum is not around. Haih.
1600 - Home on time to watch BET Awards. OMG! Never know Jamie Foxx can sing.
1800 - Nap
1900 - Went out to eat "Potong-potong" (steak) with family. Tomorrow is Faiz birthday! Kids grown up so fast nowadays.
2100 - Home. Skyped with ultimate-bitch Elder Sis who is now in England.
2300 - Planning to customize a Nike iD.

Summer Movie Blockbusters 2009 (Part 2)

6. Hannah Montana The Movie
Miley Cyrus looked less annoying this time.. the plot is predictable.. but I just like the whole Hannah Montana thing.. Another reason to like this 1 was they had Vanessa Williams and Tyra Banks in the show. Love the song "The Climb" too..

5. Wolverine
This movie really reach the throat but didn't reach the lung. The actions were nice and characters were damn interesting.. Too bad they cover too little on others. Its wolverine after all. Sigh. Next time, make a Deadpool movie.. I' ll queue for the first screening.. make sure they cast the same actor though. Ha

4. Fast & Furious
Well clearly I'm not a fan of Vin Diesel. As a manual car driver, I'm just impressed by how they were able to race using auto cars. Haha.. *ahem ahem*

3. Terminator Salvation
Being a fan of Christian Bale certainly hurt to watch this. He overacted the entire show! Damn. I hope he doesn't disappoint again in the upcoming Public Enemy! *Finger crossed* The half human half cyborg Sam Wright was the hero of the movie, not John Connor.

2. Transformers 2
Obviously this is one of the most anticipated movie of the year but sadly, Its soooo overrated! I personally don't like the idea of the egyptian thing. Again, its a movie for entertainment but certainly not a good movie. It filled with the lowest form of humors! Its very dei B childish and I can only find kids or adults who are mentally retarded will enjoy the gags. Pushing aside all that above, the CGI was good. Not to forget that Megan Fox's boobs can really act. They were running all the time trying to escape from her bras.

1. Star Trek
With lil' expectations, the movie turned out to be mind-blowing. I don't follow the original as it was meant for old hags but the movie was really fantastic. Chris Pine Rocks! So does Sylar! If you think the costumes are old-fashioned, then you are wrong! Retro is the latest trend!

Overall, most of the summer movies this year kinda suck big time. Sigh..

Back when I was in form5, we had this public secret "undercover" committee formed by the prefects known as the Bitch Club. We even had name cards for ourselves. LOL. So our basic jobs were to bitch around and gossip about teachers and students. Aww. High school was soooo fun..

While time flies and we ages, the Bitch Club remains bitchy and catty. So last week we had this reunion thing at LOP and it was biatchsome.

Report On the Paintball Game

Notes:It started off quite roughly today I must say: A few bitches who turned down the game due to some personal issues e.g. watching her boyfriend debates competition and going outstation to meet up clients etc etc at the eleventh hour. After some talks, WeiMun agreed to step in and saved the day.. Da da da(I saw a light)

Attnd: Wmun, WHoong, Kenneth, Weykeet, WkBro, YeeMun (I'd like to refer her as Cecilia), Sean, Josiah, YC, Xiao Jun, Zhan Yit and YYNung.
Absentees: MYew, KPeng, Hash (Deposit payment were made and when I told this to them, its threatening them to be there it seems)

After getting lost somewhere and receiving some misleading info from that nerd friend of mine, which I am not going to testify him as Kai Shang, we finally made it to that place - Rimba Harmonis. Its out of our expectation, totally. Muddy, dirty and most importantly, nothing like a paintball field as we imagined. (Not to mention the rain was about to fall by the time we reached.)

We divided ourselves into 2 teams and played 3 rounds. I'm not so sure about this, but, somehow, I think my team won 3 rounds. LOL (according to the amount of people that died in the game.)

During the final round, just when we were getting familiar with the game and all, "Game Over!" Really very panai in cheating money.. LOL.. and we realized the other team members were all out of bullets and we, on the other hand, still have plenty. The way to finish the bullets? Shoot on the wall, literally. (What a waste)

It was fun and tiring. And frankly, I think its quite cheap. (Not as cheap as fatty think it is, at least, she gets to miss it and pay for it like a total rich bitch.) Maybe we should have another one next time. But, we should choose attendants wisely. *No offence* Paintball is pain!

Summer Movie Blockbusters 2009 (part 1)

As many of you all may know this, I am a big kaki of movies. This is the time (summer! summer! summer!) where you can simply find me (if you are lucky enough) around the cinemas near you. LOL. Less than great expectations, this year movies didn't amazed me compared to last year or the year before. The following are the movie of my choice according to my preference:

10. Push
The visual was okay.. I must say its slightly better than last year "Jumper". Why am I watching the movie even when I was told not to? Haha.. just look at the casts.. (According to jenric, Dakota Fanning is hot; brendan pulak thinks Camilla Belle is cunned; me? Hahahahah)

9. Angels And Demons
If people are saying this movie was nice, obviously they think "I Know Who Killed Me" was brilliant! *No offense* They should have hired Professor Langdon to become a detective or something since whatever he analyzed is going to be true. Along the whole movie he only analyzed wrongly once. Impossibly possible! Not tricky at all!

8. Monsters Vs. Aliens
I was so caught up with the movie when I first saw the trailer! Seth Rogan is definitely the new funnyman. But the bad part of it, they really showed all the best clips from the film in the trailer. Literally all. The movie was like 20 minutes long to me. I just wish the movie can be a little bit more twisting.

7. 17 Again
This OMG plot is nothing fresh. I mean, who will bother to watch the flick if it wasn't because of Zac Efron. Admit it people, it ain't that interesting. It's all about Zac Efron!!! Grrr...(Its so fun to rebut with people just to get a seat for the movie. And hearing a bunch of girls kept shouting: Alamak! Aduh! Kewl la Zek tu! was just another type of entertainment.)

Something must have gone wrong in me which led me to the cinema today and watched a local production movie - SELL OUT. It turned out to be quite a show. Haha.. ITS A MUST WATCH!!! It brings out lot of LOLness..(I'm not gonna be a spoiler tho, watch it yourself!!!)

Meanwhile, missions for today were mostly accomplished:
1.) Cleared my phone bills.
2.) Bought my mothers' day present.
3.) Bought birthday present
4.) lunch tea with friends.
5.) Watched American Idol on time! Yaiy! (Totally expecting Allison to be eliminated)

Fun day i had.
