Leaf, on the other way, felt the same for Tree. She loved his independence; his strength to stand by his own; She was hoping one day, maybe he might confess to her, but he never. "I might be just be another girl in his eyes," Leaf told herself. She wasn't too heavy to leave Tree, just that she never wanted to.
Times flies. Leaf is getting tired of waiting. She knew - the answer she'd been waiting for, might never be heard. And then came Wind - a young, bright guy. He flirted with Leaf once in a while, but Leaf didn't pay him much attention. Tree was alert with Wind's presence, but he knew, Leaf was never going to leave him, and so he didn't give much care on Wind.
The Wind kept blowing. Strong and stronger. One day, Leaf decided to leave Tree. She'd been waiting too long. Maybe he just doesn't bother, she thought. She took up a big courage and leave with the Wind. Tree was upset and all he could do was just a smile and wish all the best for Leaf.
Tree was heart-broken, but he didn't realize, Leaf's departure wasn't because of the Wind, it was simply because Tree didn't ask her to stay.
